My son keeps watching some dude on YouTube play it so I thought I may get him it (he is 4)

Couple of things though what's the end game? I mean is it about building stuff like Lego or smashing stuff up etc.

Videos I've seen him watch all random. I also know this games been out for a very long time so would it be too late to get into for him or possibly too advanced of a game

He barely manages jumping on Mario and turning on Forza haha

If you're going to buy any game for a child, Minecraft would be top of my list. The possibilities as to what you can do are pretty much endless. Build whatever you like. You can build anything from the simplest of things to something incredibly complicated. There used to be a creative mode. Which just involved building with simple blocks, so that might be a good place to start.

The end game (last time I played was about 7 years ago) was about leveling up, crafting best gear, being self sustaining with food etc. This may have changed slightly now.

Definitely recommend, though. He might not pick it up straight away but he will eventually!

Minecraft is quite customisable, so the "end game" varies by the game settings and how the player plays the game.

If he basically just wants a digital Lego set, without needing to worry about enemies, then that's entirely possible to set up. Mining optional.

My step daughter (8 years old) loves it shes got it on her tablet.

She spends hours on creating all sorts of different things. Her latest seems to be mazes with traps etc! :)

She does moan about the tablet version not having half as much stuff as say the pc version.

One day I'll have the cash to build a computer for her. :D
