Mini 4 or Air 2

Evening all, I'm looking for a iPad to replace my aging iPad that is now being hogged by my toddler son

I'm looking at either the mini 4 or Air 2 but wondering how people find these and if there is any pros and cons to help me decide.

I'm going to be using it mainly for web browsing, emails, FM touch and media playback

If you're just using it at home then Air 2. If you want to take it out and about then the smaller Mini might be better.

Is it only really the size that's the difference between the two?

From what I've seen price and specs look very similar

just personal preference in size. If the ipad air 2 was a preference size wise, it would open up the thought/debate about ipad air 2 or Pro 9.7 though - the answer to that would depend on how you use it though.
