Hello,

Just brought a Mini Cooper S on a 04 plate.

Its got a single CD player with boost feature (anyone explain boost feature please ?)

In my old car (Punto) i had a headunit that had a AUX input on the front and was great for connecting up my iPhone.

Theres no input on the front of the headunit in the mini and dont really wanna buy a new head unit. I have been told i need a AUX cable which plugs in round the back of the unit.

Anyone done this before ? how much does it cost for the cable and where can i get it from ???

Any advice would be great

Thanks Ben :)

Thanks for the reply.

Was hoping for something alittle cheaper to be honest.

I dont want to beable to control the ipod with the head unit controls i can do that with the ipod controls on touch screen.

Just want a basic AUX cable that plugs in the back of the headunit and then AUX into the iphone on the other end.

Any ideas ??

Thanks ben

Evening,

Well i managed to sort it out over the weekend.

I called my local Mini dealer and got quoted £60 for the aux kit.

Looked on ebay and found it for £40, the part number matched what the Mini dealer quoted, (part number 65 12 0 308 752)

Theres some great guides over at mini2.com.

I had to remove the glove box following the guide and that was it :)

Plugged the lead in then the AUX option appears on the head unit.

Hope this helps someone else.
