Buying one of these. Graphite Cooper with the Chilli pack. On the Road price is £16,400.

Any idea what we should be looking to get it for? Mini garages don't seem to be offering much off from the start.

Cheers.

It still hasn't come, the garage are being fairly useless. Should be here by the 30th at the very latest.

Got £500 off the car and £500 off the finance. They tried a trick or two with the finance to claw some of it back though, got to watch out with these salesmen. Believe it or not that was the best offer by an absolute mile, tried loads of local garages and the only other one that came close offered only £500 off the price of the car. The original order was actually for a black Cooper but for some reason they phoned up several weeks after the order and asked if by chance I'd be interested in changing the order to the graphite special edition. Seeing as I'd already spec'd some of the options standard on the graphite it would have been rude not to! :D

It's due soon so if you have any questions or want me to upload some pics (there are only the press ones on the net) I'll be happy to do so.

Thats a lot of money to spend on a 3 door 1.6 litre hatchback.

I wish OCUK had something that ignores you every time you express an opinion on people buying brand new cars :D

I don't really care if its new or 20 years old, its still an awful lot of money for a 3 door hatchback with a 1.6 litre engine :)

The iPhone is an awful lot of money for what it is, but people still pay it because it's generally considered as something trendy and desirable. I'd also rather buy one brand new than one that's a year old and showing wear and tear. Cars are no different, albeit the financial toll is much greater.

I would appreciate a lecture on the financial tolls and buyer thought processes of car ownership from you once you've actually got your own car :)

I'll also draw your attention to the fact I didnt ask why, I simply stated what I thought.
