Hey guys,

I couldnt find a thread on the new JCW MINIs..what are you driving and any tips you can supply for me? I collect this (assuming all goes well) next Wednesday from northern England.. train tickets already booked and ready to go, the wait is gonna be a killer though! :(

 
Awaits @Diddums response :P - IIRC he's owned a fair few; however, if I've remembered the wrong person that'll be hilarious :cry:

Not sure why one of these threads hasn't been started. My MINI, named BumbleBee :p , that I owned earlier last year: Sorry but some pics have had to bre removed due to watermarks promoting a business, sure no harm was meant but you will have to edit them before reposting...

Quite like the look of these, although the lack of bootspace / rear room makes them impactical for me. I know that wasn't the original purpose of Mini but they aren't exactly small anymore! :p

Yeah they aren’t as small.. I really wanted the r53 1st gen mini with the supercharger but at 20 and repairs and fuel consumption etc.. just wasn’t practical.

Not gonna lie but I really wasn’t the biggest fan of the r56 JCW but the facelift in 21 which is the model I’m getting really is a lot more pleasant on the eye imo.

I test drove one in my early 20s too, it was nice and compact but for some reason then I also preferred to have more space haha. Test drove also a Fiesta ST and Suzuki Swift Sport but ended up with a BMW 130i I believe which was a level above.
