Mini DisplayPort connectors - muh?

Is anyone else having issues with Mini DisplayPort connectors being terribly designed? I have a Radeon 7870 with a couple of the active mDP<>DP adapters and they are so loose. It's very easy to accidentally shift or pull the cable so as to loose connection.

Surely I'm not isolated in this issue? Does anyone else experience it? I'd like to plug in a third monitor (eyefinity?) but I'm seriously thinking about ditching it.
 
Moved from full sized Displayports on my 5870 to mini ones on my 7970 in January 2012 (always active adapters to DVI), never had a cable pull out or disconnect yet. That said, due to the setup of my case my adapters are each bent 90 degrees between the DP end and the DVI end - thought that would make them more likely to get pulled out but maybe it's having the opposite effect?
 
Thanks for the reply. I have an MSI Twin Frozr III, maybe its the card connectors? It's just that these are so darn easy to pull out.
