Hi well my case issue is the hdmi wire that goes in to gpu is hitting the case so I decided to look for mini display port to hdmi cable know I am confused in which one to get.
I did Goodge shopping search and found this
6FT ThunderBolt Mini DisplayPort Display Port to HDMI Cable Adapter for Macbook know I know its for Macbook but will this work with my gpu?
My gpu is msi R9_280X_GAMING gpu

May I also ask does mini display send sound out as well like the hdmi cables?
Can some help me?

Is it impossible to plug the HDMI cable in? It doesn't matter if the case is touching the outer metal of the plug.

It might also be worth unscrewing the PCI screws holding the card up, plugging the cable in and then putting the screws back.

You can also use a DVI to HDMI cable, though I am not sure that it will carry sound. Someone else will have to confirm.

I was hoping to Mini Display Port to hdmi I do see that their are some out their but what wanted some help I was not sure if the mack book wire would work.
I can not move the gpu higher as its the first slot and I did try what you suggested but its no go all I need I Mini Display Port on one end that would plug to gpu and then I need hdmi for tv. I hope some can help me.

DVI port can carry sound, as long as the DVI to HDMI adapter supports it.

For the 280X you will need to look for an active adapter, this will convert the DP signals to HDMI. It should be able to carry sound as well. I don't think an Apple one will work as I believe they may be passive (DP ports on Macs can output HDMI signals, but the 280X can't).

If you search for "active mini displayport to HDMI" on the rainforest you should be able to find some for a decent price.

Any chance of a picture of the HDMI port on the back of your PC? Just to see how close it is to the case? As it's fine for the outer metal part of the connection to touch the case, since it's just for grounding.

Hi the hdmi wire is hitting the case the picture is working but some time it does not lol

I thought I buy mini display port but I will see. I might buy this later.

Do you at overclockers not sell a wire like this?

I just thought I would clarify what I meant earlier.

I assume your card's output look like this at the moment, with the HDMI right on the edge of the case.

Take out the PCI screws holding the card up.

Lower the card and put the screws back in. (nb it's still in the same slot)

Notice how the gap between the cards PCI bracket and the next bracket has almost disappeared.

This will result in the outputs of the card being lowered by about a millimetre which means that I have much easier access to the HDMI port.
