I have a Surfacebook which has the dock and want to connect a VGA display.
On the back of the dock there are two mini displayport output.
I've connected a Microsoft Mini displayport to HD AV (HDMI) adapter, then an HDMI to VGA adapter, this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01E8DD6J6/
No output to the screen, nothing detected. The HDMI to VGA adapter works fine when connecting direct from VGA display to HDMI on a laptop / PC.
Should multiple adapters work together or do I need something like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rankie-DisplayPort-Adapter-1080P-Converter-Black/dp/B00Z08KW8C/
