Mini Door wont open / shut - Ajar

Hi guys,

Random question for your friday afternoon but the GFs 06 Mini (Parklane) is shut ajar but she cannot open it or close it to shut properly. Haven't seen it myself yet but shes telling me she has to climb over the passenger to open out.

Any ideas for me to look tonight without giving it a good ol' shunt?

does it not latch if she pushes it/pulls it hard enough?

Sounds like the catch is knackered. How well is the car driven? I've seen one get caught after being driven like it was stolen for a long period of time, the sill bent slightly which meant the door got stuck.

She tells me shes tried pushing it, but her push and our push are totally different things.

Edit: Just asked her, and she says "It feels like its wedged and it doesn't move"

This is stopping her from locking the car too.

She never goes past 30 mate. Very low mileage too.
