I picked up a shuttle PC for a tenner off the MM and I'm wondering if I can put an ITX motherboard in the case.

The Flex ATX board is 25.5cm by 18.6cm, and "It uses a subset of the motherboard mounting holes required for microATX and the same I/O plate system as ATX and microATX."

Mini-ITX are 17 by 17cm and The four mounting holes in a Mini-ITX board line up with four of the holes in ATX-specification motherboards, and the locations of the backplate and expansion slot are the same.

Taken from Wikipedia. So basically, my case has MicroATX mounting points- will a MiniITX mobo mount properly?

Micro ATX cases say they fit Micro ATX and Mini ITX so it would seem if you have Micro ATX mounting holes then you can fit a Mini ITX motherboard.

Min ITX only needs 4 holes in a 17cm square pattern, so in the event you're missing one, just drill a new one in the motherboard tray and drop in a new standoff. Dead quick job.
