Mini ITX as server?

Ok so this is probably a stupid question but I have always wanted to build a Mini ITX pc and now the Intel Atom is around decided to pick up a bargain kit containing case / mobo / ram. To this I have added a 120GB 2.5” HDD which I already had leaving the PCI slot free for future expansion.

I had planned on using it to create a “home server” for storage and to allow the wife to print wirelessly from her laptop. Problem is I have no idea if a) it will be suitable for this or b) how I set it up.

I have a copy of Windows XP Professional going spare so I am hoping to use that as the OS. I have two Icybox JBOD enclosures each with 2 x 1Tb HDD in which will connect via USB2 to the server to provide storage.

The Atom mobo has a LAN port which I plan to connect to the NETGEAR DG834g router I have.

Any help would be appreciated.
