Alright guys,

This will be my first home built PC so I'm after advice from some experienced hands. I've been doing research for a little while and have chosen the BitFenix Prodigy-MiniITX to put the components into. I am on a budget of around £600. From the research I've done I can see that it may be better to go down the AMD route for price/performance with my budget. So far I have:

I am looking to move from console gaming to PC gaming. I have a 1TB Western Digital hard drive from a shop bought PC that I'll be able to use in this. Any advice on components or alternative builds with a similar budget that would out perform what I have chosen. If anyone can suggest cooling and a solid psu that would also be handy. Budget could stretch to 700 providing I'm happy to split the buying over two months.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions, it does seem Intel is the way to go then. I won't need a Keyboard, Mouse or monitor at the moment. I may upgrade my keyboard/mouse in the future though

Hi mate, thanks for that. I've had a look over the components and they look the part. What type of games could this machine run if I were to buy it? I mean at present the only PC game I actually play is Civ 5 due to system limitations. I'd be looking to venture into the likes of Skyrim, Battlefield and Crysis.
