Ok so basically my dad is building a MINI ITX build focused around music/sound quality, also will be used for medium quality gaming. We are looking for a budget at around £600 including a sound card. ATM we are not sure on price to quality on the sound cards. (I have a GPU for build)

Suggestions/Builds appreciated?

The case you have chosen has a maximum GPU length of 200m - make sure yours will fit. More importantly, your motherboard (and all other ITX boards AFAIK) only has one PCI-E slot, which means you wouldn't be able to use a sound card and a GPU.

Does it have to be ITX?

What exactly is the use of this. You say audio quality is important but is it just for pleasure or actually music work/production?

What speaker setup will it be running through? I assume it will be a pretty decent one.

As fulax said, that case is pretty strict on sizing.

The H87 Mobo won't be able to overclock the 4670K processor. Either go for a Z87 motherboard or a non-K processor.

The OEM version of the processor doesn't come with a heatsink & fan and only comes with a 1 year warranty. For an extra £4 the Retail version does and has a 3 year warranty.

The GPU was a Asus 6850 so yeah it will not fit, the Build is for music but not work/production (pleasure). The speaker system is a existing quality one.

We are open to suggestions for the case and the build. (MINI ITX as it will be standing next to the TV):)

Yeah we was just talking about the K processors :P, thanks for the heads up about the OEM CPU I forgot.

Here's something I've put together quickly.
The case is nice & small and comes with a 450W PSU already installed but can only take one 3.5" HDD. Because of that I would recommend going for a 2TB drive instead of the 1TB if you can.
The Motherboard has one of the better onboard sound devices.

Unlocked processors wont be necessary as my dad does not know what over clocking is and wont ever be looking into doing it. The main issue atm is sound cards, is one actually needed for decent sound quality through speakers?

It surely does, you can get the prodigy in atx form though for similar specs above inc gfx card you will need to up your budget

For medium-quality gaming on Mini-ITX, maybe consider an AMD APU (Richland A10-6800K for the top-end) and leave the PCI-E slot free for a dedicated sound card (Xonar D2X is stunning even for its age).
