Mini ITX build

Dad wants to build up a compact Mini ITX, just going to be used in DOS, booted off a flash drive for security system. I've got these in my basket. Anyone used this motherboard? Will it boot off a USB drive?

It should but certain USB drives are a little fussy when it comes to booting.

Depending on how the drive will be accessed it may be better to go for a small HD. Will make things a little simpler.

My Naslite server uses an Epia M1000 mini-itx board. It boots using a flash drive no problem using the 'USB-HDD' boot option.

You could always get a CF-Flash to IDE card that will allow you to use a CF card as a IDE drive.

My mini ITX box runs m0n0wall off one of these....
