Hi guys, just finalising my mini itx gaming build but would appreciate advice on a reasonable PSU to power it.

The components I am considering are -

Xeon 1230v3
Coolermaster elite 130
MSI Z87I AC Intel ITX Motherboard (older socket but brand new at £51)

I have 8 gb ram and 2 ssd's and a hdd to put in.

I need a GPU, reccomendations on either a 970 or the asus matrix 290 x currently on offer and further to that a decently priced power supply to power it all.

Thanks all

I recommend the CoolerMaster vs series of psu. They have good reviews, very efficient and are made be Seasonic which is well regarded. Manage to get the vs 650W for around 63 pounds while back.
290x seem to be at a great price point right now since AMD is bring out new cards in June. I went for the 970 despite the whole fiasco it had, since its cooler, quieter and less power hungry and mine came with three games which offset the price difference for me.

I would have thought that any 400w gold efficiency psu will be perfect for that system.

As a matter of fact the SuperFlower Golden Green HX 350W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black at 43 quid will work perfectly.

Yes but he cant overclock his CPU as its a Xeon.. ;)

With that CPU and a GTX970 he wont really be pushing over 300W unless he overclocks his GPU and even then its not going to be hugely significant. The R9 290X May need a 450w tho.

I know, I'm helping to build a picture for a high wattage psu to be unnecessary...
