A few quick thoughts: as you only have two RAM sockets, would heartily recommend getting a 16GB kit to avoid having to throw out your existing memory after you upgrade. Get a good cheap air cooler like the CM 212 EVO and spend an extra £20 on the i5 6600K to allow overclocking. Finally consider upsizing the SSD if you can and maybe waiting until July for the next gen cards rather than buying a two year old GPU now.

I would swap the psu to the XFX XTR 550W. The new Corsair CM-X is a lot better than the old CX range, but the XFX is worth the extra £5 as you get a fully modular unit, hybrid fan mode and a bit more efficiency (Gold over Bronze).

The MSI 970 might not fit in the Thermaltake V1. The Kitguru review below says that the max length is 255mm. The MSI 970 is listed as 269mm on MSI website.

I would avoid the Kingston V300 SSD. Also a 120GB will fill up very fast. If you can stretch the budget then the Crucial BX200 240GB would be better.

Don't bother with that Z board if you're not going to pair it with a K part.

You only save £40 by going for a cheaper itx board such as the Asus H110I Plus D3. If the op wants the built in wifi and the other extra features that the Z170 chipset has then there isn't really many other options.
