Maximus VI Impact is the first ROG mini-ITX motherboard. Suitable for small form factor enthusiasts, it includes the Impact Power add-on card with 8+2 phase digital power for the CPU and memory, along with the SupremeFX Impact sound card, which features ELNA audio capacitors and 115dB SNR, plus a headphone amplifier to deliver high-quality and immersive gaming audio. An mPCIe Combo II card with 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 is also included.

I have this board, but have an issue with the back usb 2 ports. If I connect devices, they randomly just switch off, eg: keyboard, mouse, g13 etc. Also, if I connect something into the back, it sometimes causes any of the usb2 devices to switch off.

I have no problem with the usb3 ports. I have to connect the keyboard and mouse to the usb3 ports so they don't randomly switch off.

I have noticed that the back plate is coated with thick foam.

I hope its not a board fault, and maybe the board/back plate just needs seating.

I have a H80i connected into an internal usb2 header and its all powered by a Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply.

Any ideas?
