Mini ITX Mobo

I'm doing a final year project at uni just now and am looking for a really small mobo for video streaming (up to 1080p preferably) and image/audio processing with as much connectivity as possible.

This looks absolutely ideal but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the other mini itx mobos perform similarly since this is the most expensive one!

As far as i know it's that price since it comes with an onboard 90w PSU.

Every ATOM 330 + ION board will perform same. For example i used this in my build :

(minus the top fan, 8cm fan near it is enough to vent all the heat out).

Second question: Is there a significant difference between running eg windows 7 from a SATA drive and a flash card/usb stick. Obviously there will be a difference, I'm just wondering how much of a difference?

It would be a lot cheaper and easier to mount in a custom case without needing to worry about a big hard drive.
