Hi, I'm looking for a Mini ITX motherboard that has a PCIe x 16 and a PCIe x 1 slot.

I plan to build a Haswell i5-4670K gaming PC in a BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case.

The PCIe x 1 slot will be for a Creative Sound Blaster Z, to go with my Sennheiser PC360.

Unless theirs a better ASUS sound card.

I plan to OC to, so It needs to be a higher end board with good VRM heatsinks.

Thanks.

There's a board made by ECS with 2x PCIe slot if I remember correctly, but I don't think it's available, so your only real chance is to source Shuttle's flex motherboard (it's wider than mini-ITX but fits in Prodigy) and you're limited to SB/IB until they update their lineup to Haswell.

Alternativately, there's a ASUS ROG Impact Mini-ITX board with a dedicated sound card on board.

I notice the ASUS ROG Impact Mini-ITX motherboard has a mini PCIe slot.

Anyone have an idea if using a MiniPCI Express to PCI Express Adapter to fit a Creative Sound Blaster Z would work?

I think you're looking at the wrong form factor. There is the Mini-DTX that allows what you are asking. Otherwise as Idartalis mentioned Flex-ATX (as shuttles use).

Sadly basically no one makes mini-dtx boards.

Using onboard sound is probably the sensible answer, else m-atx has plenty of slots but won't fit in the case you've chosen.
