I know size is an issue as is heat.

I will gut a cartridge and use it for a fan

10cm PCI extender for the GPU, will turn it over so the fan points up close to the memory booster thing

I have an N64 already had it for years, I would use this but it's a Pokemon stadium edition one so no no.

If there's space I'll put a n64 to USB controller adapter on the first player only??

Size wise it fits just the RAM to worry about -

External PSU probably 500W

External DVD rom drive most likey - or I might caddy it on the bottom and Raise the stands a tiny bit for a slim line

I would be very interested to see if it works. I hope it is a PCI-E extender you bought. I think you're going to struggle with that 9600GT in there. Can you buy 500W external power - that I really would be interested in.

PSU's can be used externally, according my IT friend

I know a computer repair guy I'll ask him about it, and read into it,

thanks for the interest guys

I've got a 120W external brick that is used externally combined with an internal power supply, but never heard of one that was 400W. If you find something I would be very interested.

Awesome, have fun mate, i built somthing very similar to this a couple of weeks ago into an xbox, turned out really well, although it had some slight heating issue until i launched a few extra fans in there.

Would it be possible to Passively cool this? so GPU CPU RAM and PSU?

A good folding at home machine, but it would be in my room on 24/7 hence the passive ?

Going to be a very, very tight fit. mitx boards are 17 cm to a side and about 4cm tall, the outside of my N64 appears to be 17.5 x 22.5 x 4. I don't see any hope in hell of fitting a separate graphics card in there.

Sadly I don't think this is going to work. Inside an xbox, sure. An N64 is just too small for discrete graphics. However it could hold mitx board/ram/psu, run an N64 emulator with all your N64 games stored.

Sorry to be negative, but I'm looking at an N64, holding a rule and can't see it.

Im going to turn the Cartridge slot into a dock for memory sticks, so convert an old cartridge into a multiple memory stick holder.

the GPU will only fit if its a low profile one and with the help of a PCI extender allowing me to put in anywhere in the case

the PSU will be external
