Hi guys will be building a mini itx prodigy over next few months.

Just wanted to know roughly what I need to look for.

I have - Monitor, speakers, O/S . Just the machine is needed

Budget: £1000

Will be built within 3-4 months for spreading the payments across.

Has to be intel, prefer nvidia over amd, but will go for amd if the card is much better.

And would like all the next gen components.

Thanks for any input.

The PSU in Ethermaster spec is modular.

It is tight in psu area, my OZZ has to be show horned in, in certain respects a non modular might be easier.

Well Semi ..... its only got the 24 pin and CPU power cable attached and matches the "scheme" of the build nicely.

Nice ..... but quick question where are you going to stick both that H100 and optical drive mate in that tiny case?

Good spot, I forgot that.

Thanks for the replys, is there a build that will definately be a solid one, everything will fit in nicely and plenty of cooling? Need to start buying some parts :)

Could get away with using a H80 and get an optical drive in there but it would spoil the way the case looks imo ..... I would just use an external one myself.

Hmmm havent really thought about not having an optical drive, come to think of it I don't think itl have much use.. eveything I need is downloadable.

Il buy an external hard drive I think.

So whats the bet build possible without the optical drive

Im going to go for your first build you showed me ethermaster, quick question, with the h100 will the fans be mounted on top of the case, or will they be kept inside the case with the lid on top? Will it fit the same as the h100i? Because I probably wont get the h100 on offer in time.

With everything put in how many extra fans will I be able to fit in.

Im also getting the recon fan controller :)

Also, what does the antenna do on the mobo? And were does it go

Thanks :)

OP if you are not building for another 3-4 months, may be would you consider waiting for the Micro ATX Prodigy?

It doesn't look much bigger than the Mini-itx Prodigy, but with the Micro ATX board, it will give you more option to add sound card, or even Crossfire/SLI (if you don't mind having two cards sitting right on top of each other with barely any gap, or if you were to watercool them).

If your fitting the H100 or H100i to the roof of the case the fans will be mounted to the inside of the case (you could actually do push-pull). The antenna is to power the Wi-Fi that is built onto the board (don't have to use it) and you can put it where ever you want.
