Mini keyring-sized digital camera/camcorder

My Walkera 4#3b Brushless can lift a 25gram AA battery a few inches off the ground at full pelt.

at 15g I'm guessing a 4#3b might carry it a few feet. Luckily I also have a Honey Bee CP3 which'll film a spectacular crash.

I have no idea what most of that means. This is my first go at a flying model and I have done little to no research but i was bored and it looked like fun. My plan was to buy one of these, take it appart and build it into the craft for some video goodness, that way if I take it out for a quick fly or spin round the garden and crash badly Ill have all the evidence :D

Apparantly as long as the finished model comes in at 280g or less she will fly no problem.
 
Just got mine with a 4 gig sd hc card but when i plug it into the usb my computer wont detect it even after recording some video.So i tried a 2gig card and still wont detect it any ideas ?

Try another mini usb lead. The ones supplied with the camera are pretty much useless and a lot dont work.
You can use any mini usb lead you may have lying around.

Can I ask what date you ordered it from Hong Kong?, wondering if the air mail has started to move yet.

Have read on more than one other forum about the supplied leads not being much cop.

Also, the camera can sometimes get stuck in "webcam mode" which means it won't get detected when you plug it in. To reset it, look on the side of it where the input for the lead is. Halfway between it and the card slot there is a tiny pinhole. This is the reset switch. Stick a wee pin in there and hold for 10-15 seconds and it will reset. Then plug it back into your PC and see how it goes. ;)

That's a cracking idea. My Aprilia RSV has a black tinted double bubble screen on it so I can't have a camera at the front on the top yoke or on top of the dash as it won't see through the screen. That looks like the ticket though for mounting on the outside of the screen. That said, the TomTom mount is kinda big and obtrusive, not that discreet to PC Plod's eyes. :D

I wonder if it is possible to purchase something along the same idea only smaller?. I'll have a rummage around on the Bay. :cool:

Thx that worked for the 2 gig card but when i put the 4 gig sd hc card in it wont detect it and the yellow light stays on.Do i need a 4gig sd hc reader ?

Ordered 2 one from the uk thats the one i have now and the other one from Hong Kong more than 2 weeks ago still not arrived :( .Emailed seller and they just try and fob me off wont be ordering from them again .

If it works for the 2gb card and not the 4gb card, sounds like the 4gb card may either not be formatted (although it should as they all come formatted now) or faulty.

Worth trying the 4gb card in a sd hc card reader to see if the PC can access it.
 
Mine has been shipped, let the waiting commence! Got some time off work in afew weeks so hopefully should turn up just in time for some shenanigans.

I recognise that road, to be honest I think I recognise that drive and gate. Don't drive a puma by any chace do you and have you shopping delivered by the friendly Tesco man?
 
Ordered from him too, so hopefully not too long for me. He said mine was shipped on the 20th, so this time last week. Hoping for next Monday!
