Mini Mission Control

There's nothing manly about a car that tries so achingly hard to be stylish, funky and have a "personality" - regardless of how competent it is technically

Im not suggesting that. I don't really like that mission control carp as much as everyone here.. what i'm saying is you can't just blanket the whole range with a sweeping statement that just isn't true.

And surley the same could be said about the Hatch Vauxhall VXR Range (I.E The Astra and the Corsa yet everyone on here loves them?)

No I'm sure they don't intentionally aim the range at persons with a single chromosome or a penchant for bottoms, but I think its fairly obvious that most of the range does appeal to these groups more than alpha males.

Its not a slur against men who own them (not from me anyway), if you chose one because it fits your criteria then fine - but when you try that hard to make a car cool, your market base is going to be swayed somewhat

I hate to say it. But you're so wrong in the respect that it's aimed at 'just' Women/Girls/Gays.

You can't just make a blanket statement like that for the whole range. Take the JCW for instance?

Okay some of the other stuff (Certain cabrios and colour combos) aren't that 'Manly' but the Cooper S as a daily run about.. there aren't many cars you can get 'Bang for buck' like you do with a Cooper S, and that Supercharger? come on Fox, At least admit to that?

LOL - spot the mini owner!

Which character is condescending to women?

"Take the handbrake off dear."

"The door's a jar love."

"Change gear already."

"Pay attention!"

I'd hate it but then I'm not the sort of person a Mini is aimed at and neither are you guys.

Mini is a 'fun, funky' brand aimed at girls, women and gay people and this sort of quirky feature fits in with the brand really well.

You might scoff at the idea but building up Mini as a fun and dynamic brand is one of the keys to its success.

i got a telling off by a mod on another board by saying pretty much just that and the thread got deleted etc , esp when the board is awash with seven gately threads too. morons.

I'm sure they aim all these cars appeal to specific markets, even if they are not directly targetted, clearly the Mini appeals to Women etc, as Larger BMW's appeal to people with small inoffensive genitalia....

:D

That would get very annoying fairly quickly, you'd start hearing the same stuff over and over and over, and then it'd be turned off forever. Waste of money.

It's not an 82 Trans Am called KITT, so therefore I'm not interested.

If it was, I'd change my name to Michael and bring back the man perm.
