MINI one tyres

My Parents Mini One 51 plate needs some new tyres. Currently has Pirelli P3000s on. Are only the cooper S models fitted with Runflats or has the previous owner been cheap?

In the boot there is the usual can of tyre weld and an electric pump.

Also the arch trim has come off the driver side wing due to my sister bumping it and not telling anyone, she crack some of the clips off.

I don't think even the Cooper S has runflats as standard, most of the Cooper S's I have seen have Dunlop SP Sport 9000's on from the factory.

Both our Cooper S came with runflats as standard. The pre-facelifts came with Pirelli euphoria runflats, and the later ones come with SP9000 runflats (which we have now). They come on the 17" wheels. If you go for the 15"s I don't think you get runflats.

Ah right cool. I said I would buy them 4 new tyres so don't want to pay loads. £42 a tyre for the Pirrellis, they seem ok, nothing great though (175/65/15 84H)

There are some Kumo KH15s which are £33

No one drives it fast though.

Yoko A drives are £39.

Come to think of it, my mates Cooper with the optional 17"s also came with Pirelli runflats.

The Cooper S comes with runflats because there is no room for a spare tyre (they shoved the battery in the back to make room for the supercharger at the front).

Standard mini's don't come with them and most places suggest sticking with the type they come with as runflats will affect the handling.

Our 55 plate One has run flats *goodyear nct's*on the mini 16" alloys.

I think if your mini comes with trims it will have standard tyres. If it has alloys it has run flats.

Does your mini have spare btw?

I thought all minis came with runflats, i know both the cooper and cooper s versions do.

My One has got the optional 17" S-Spokes - runflats are fitted.
