Mini PC for Gaming at average levels

I'm looking for a gaming PC that will cope with modern games but not at top level in terms of performance. Which I don't expect from the tiny mini PCs I se. I don't mind dialling back the performance. Limited for space a NUC type computer or one of similar size.

I had a Steam Deck which was excellent although I found it clumsy to use despite having a switchable mouse, KBD and monitor. This put me off playing so it gathered dust until I sold it. So looking for something as a casual gamer, COD is a typical game for ,me or Far Cry.

So, any ideas appreciated. I would tend tp buy from here of course but Amazon have a good range of i% or i& boxes that are the size of a large paperback and some with UHD imbedded graphics or Radeon 7.

What dimensions are you restricted by? It sounds like Intel Iris (via a NUC) or a SFF Ryzen G build is your best option.

This is an ITX build suitable for 1080p gaming in any game (including the latest/most demanding ones like Hogwarts & Cyberpunk), but the case is probably too large for you:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £829.92 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Did you see this as example bigger than a NUC but gives some other options..

or an updated build of :
but its not a bad build.

other wise not considering SFF PCs?
i've been gaming on a Dell 7010 SFF with a Nvidia 1650 and works well but an updated low profile and updated SFF like a 3240 could also work well.

f12 edge micro gaming pc might also meet requirements possibly.
depends what games and apps you plan to use.

Thanks for the replies folks. Sorry for the delay but I didn’t get notified. A few things to check out so thanks again
I’m only limited by space because I want the smallest setup possible.

I’ve tried the Steam Deck and it was ok on my Samsung monitor and BT kbd and mouse. I’ve never got on with the controllers on gaming consoles. If using a kbd and mouse was easy I’d try one.
Being a Mac Mini M1 user I have plenty of power but of course limited game choice. This is as much as a throwback to when I used to build my own PCs but now, as an intermittent gamer something discrete is preferred. Not even bothered about 4K despite having the monitor, 1080p would di

If you insist on a uSFF, you might be interested in the Beelink GTR7

It will give you acceptable but not good gaming performance. Really these systems are production devices that can game rather than actual gaming PCs.

Sorted out with an ASRock x300, used but mint with some bits installed like WiFi and memory. Going to use a AMD 5700G, 16GB Mem and a 512GB SSD and see how it goes. Less than £400 the lot so I'll see how that goes for 1080p gaming.

Make sure the motherboard bios is compatable with the 5700g or you will need to update it.

I know you were all eagerly waiting for my feedback ;)

Yep, 5700G works fine as does 1TB Crucial SSD.
Well, everything installed, W10 loaded and the cute little box is superb. Thanks to a member for this. I'm very happy
