Hey I'm looking to replace my 6 year old desktop tower PC now, its pretty much dying and making a tremendous amount of noise! I was looking to build my own PC but not sure if i want to have another huge tower next to me :(

I came across the acer revo r3610, small and compact perfect for uni student with little room aha but i was wondering if its advisable to be using the r3610 on a daily basis to do the usual web surfing/word/playing 1080p mkvs and the occasional photoshop/video editing? i know its mainly designed for HTPC but worth a shot?

I know its possible to build your own small pc, but i wouldnt know where to start for cases etc...preferably size of dell zino?

Any help really would be appreciated!

Thanks.

The Acer will be crippled by the Atom CPU.

How about a Mac mini? You should get a nice discount being a student.
Lol crippled you say, fair enough might stay away then.

Don't really like macs tbh, searching on this forum i found this and its a pretty nice setup, looking to create something along those lines if possible.

Or anything thats already pre-made around the £300-£400.
