hello all i am having trouble with my wireless and i think it may be down to the mini pci express card i have installed

i have a belkin N1 Wireless Modem Router F5D8631uk4A

and a Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

the mini pci card has three arial wires but the laptop only has 2 so only 2 connected , i have just checked with belkin and it says on there site a mixture of n wireless will result in them downgrading to 54g so my question is , is the wireless card slowing my internet connection and causing the dropouts due to the lack of arials and is there a difference in pre n and n1 mimo

cheers in advance just ordered a n1 mimo pcmcia just in case

cheers

2 mini pc Aerials is ok

54g normally has more than enough speed for internet use, if your having problems its worth checking the intel drivers and seeing if using the intel wifi client connection gives better or worse results than just using the drivers and the windows connection client.

the external card should let you get better connections speeds and range but its not guaranteed.

hmm interesting , the router is showing connection to the internet but the laptop is not seing the network i will try and use intels own management conntion tool

cheers
