What used to be a UK
I have a couple of PC's with business critical software on them that need to exchange or access data between the two. We also want to backup their data in house so could anybody tell me if this would be a suitable server to buy? Also, would it be easy to connect this server to our current network, thank you:

WD 4TB (2 x 2TB) Sentinel DX4000 4-Bay Windows Server - Populated NAS

Showing my ignorance here. just 5 stand-alone pc's and a couple of printers linked by a netgear router. Other pc's are linked by a power link supplying internet access and wifi in other rooms. The software will be installed on two machines whereby the data from one can be accessed and modified by the other.

The backup would be both off and on site. We are part of a complex that provides its own security and people can't simply walk in as the doors are number key coded etc. I was just wondering whether the NAS mentioned would be suitable for our purposes as the software I'm talking about would require setting up all of this SQL and ODBC stuff to share and use the data anyway. It won't work without it or at least the way we want it too.

LOL. I was hoping but looking at my comments I don't possess enough knowledge about these things. It is a requirement of the software we have bought to set up SQL and ODBC otherwise we just end up with two pieces ofvsoftware running independently of each other.

I think my sister is thinking cheap so she would jump at the chance of the NAS I was pointing to albeit to get us started and if it would do the job. Perhaps I should have a word with OCUK support.
