Hi All,

With the weather changing and the darker nights drawing in I am not getting out as much as i would like to so looking for a mini-treadmill for home use which can be stored out the way.

Seen a few reccomendations with most mini suffer from one issue or another and reliability is hit and miss.

Does anyone have one or use a mini treadmill at home which they can pass comment on?

Thanks

Not sure the mini ones are up to real world use to be honest.

I bought this one from Argos almost two years ago and find it good myself.

Problem is the price was £280 and now its £440 but im guessing all treadmills have gone up.

The other issue is it is very heavy, hard to move around and not mini.

The smaller you go the less weight they can take, if you're a bit over, and also the slower they will go due to the smaller motor. So also check the max speed if you are wanting to run rather than walk.

Sorry guys, i should have mentioned in my OP that i will be using it for walking rather than running.

My weight is 140Ib (64kg).

Thanks.
That has very good reviews on Argos. As you say, since covid, teh price of all fitness stuff has massively increased.

A few questions for you:

How long is the power lead and is it fixed to the machine?
Does the belt ever slip?
Is it noisey?
Have you had any issues in the two years of ownership?
How often do you use it?

Whatever is the best deal on fb marketplace in your area.

I know of so many people who've bought them, used for a month or two and then stashed away to never be used again.

Thanks.

Cable is not fixed but is only about 2 meters.
I have not noticed belt slip ( im 70KG )
Yes it is a bit noisy, less if only walking.
No issues.
I was using it daily or every few days at first but prefer outdoor walking so not used it that much since the first couple of months.
It has 12 speed settings ( and 10 micro speed steps between each speed ) and I mostly did very fast power walking i guess you would call it on speed 6.
It is very heavy but i think that adds to its stability and robustness.

It will end up being a clothes horse, just go outside, far more bearable than a treadmill
Cant always go outside thats the thing. The wet British weather and the cold just doesnt motivate.

Atleast with a mini-treadmill i can jump on it whilst still at work (wfh) inbetween meetings and breaks and that way i dont need to get all my walking in one go at the end of the day.

I'd have a look at Facebook market place or gumtree. I managed to pick up a bargain Treadmill for £250! which was hardly used, cost £1000 new. Nearly broke my back getting it in the house though!!

I stare at it quite a lot, must use it at some point lol.

Is pacing round the house not an option? Pick two points and walk between them, you could be chatting to someone on the phone at the same time, to alleviate bordem.
I racked up 5000 steps in one go doing that.

I do the server room walk whilst waiting for a server to sort itself out. One DC I was in last week, the corridor was a good 5 min brisk walk from end to end.

Ive been doing that of late but the mrs isnt happy about the noise as we have hard wood flooring.
