Hi
I am looking at getting a Samsung Odyssey G7 to connect to my laptop for gaming. I have a RTX 2080 Super, and it has HDMI and Mini Displayport. I understand that to exploit the full 240hz refresh rates on the monitor, i'll need to use the Displayport rather than HDMI so I'll need a MiniDP to DP cable. However, will a MiniDP to DP cable have the same bandwidth and performance as a straight DP to DP cable? i.e. is there any point getting the monitor or am i constrained by having a MiniDP?
thanks in advance
