hi what software to convert minDV to dvd ( that play in bog standard dvd players)

any idead guys?

import in avi if you can and use convertxtdvd (will need to buy it)

This will convert the single avi into the audio and video files for DVD

i have tried that before i think avi is unsupported if i irc( dvix2dvd)

Avi is supported in convertxtovd

As i just used it there now

You have to buy it mind you, but its rather cheap.

windows movie maker to download from DV then nero vision to encode to DVD?

Just make sure to copy the movies to the harddrive in DV-AVI as that is the best quality, it is ~14GB per hour though.

You then need to use one of the convertor programs mentioned, I think I used WinAVI when I had a DV camera.

Why it didn't work for you is the fact you used divx2dvd which is used for converting DIVX AVI's to DVD and not DV-AVI's
