Hi All,

Im putting together a water cooled HTPC with a Prodidgy case and I've got most of the stuff apart from the mobo/CPU/gfx combo.

Most likely I wont have the budget to get the gfx in there and Im not sure if I really need it at the mo.

The primary purpose of it is to act as a HTPC movie/web machine connected my my TV and networked to a movie storage :)

I have a gaming rig with Z68, 2500K and 7950 WF3 so Im covered here and I dont intend to play games on the HTPC at the moment.

I'm just wondering then what sort of cpu/mobo combo would work well with for this.
Id rather stick to intel CPUs as my CPU block is with intel brackets already.
I have a LAN cable available so no real need for extra WIFI etc.
Sound is going to go through my amp/hifi via HDMI so sound card is not a real concern either.
My theme is red/black though so something matching would be good.

I'm thinking about MSI Z87I + i5-4430 to be a bit future proof and price wise i3 doesnt make sense to me.
Or I could upgrade to 3570K on the main rig and move 2500K to HTPC...

What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

I'm only doing it as I have parts for this already and although current use is HTPC, this PC might end up at my wife's desk :)
