So I have a TJ07 in black and I'm really considering spraying the internals in matt black.

I have an old CM ATC 201 that's in bits and I just had a go at spraying one of the doors.

I applied white primer then matt black and it has come out a lot better than I expected, there are a couple of drips but its because its was hanging from a light and was constantly turning as I sprayed it.

Note to self... Make sure I hang future parts from stationary positions.

I will post up some pictures of the door once it has dried soon for all you're opinions.

I'm pretty sure you can sand down/respray indefinitely until you're happy with the finish. I'd say go for it!

I want to go for it, it looks very nice!

Will keep working on the ATC 201 to get better at spraying then start on the TJ07 (Scared of ruining a £235 case though lol)

TJ07 parts stripped and ready for spraying!

What about powder coating wouldn't that be a better option?

To be honest a year ago I had a TJ07 powder coated white and it was a terrible job, lots of dust particles got underneath and was very rough, and it chipped very easily, followed by all the screws not being covered properly either I much prefer to do the job myself, real sense of achievement when the job is completed!

It looks really good, I have done a couple of pieces tonight, just letting them dry fully and will upload pictures tomorrow!

Yeah, don't get me wrong powder coating is amazing if done with care, maybe I was just unlucky and the bloke was having a bad day! :(

Its expensive as well! :p

I go bed now sleepy! Hopefully a nice sunny and not so windy day tomorrow so can spray outside and finish! Girlfriend is not happy with me doing it inside the house as she feels sick from the fumes, badtimes! :(

I don't think I will spray the HDD caddy mounts as there are some funny screws on them and it may go wrong, the nickel? plated contrast might work well with grills maybe.

Will see when its put back together.

She'll get over it, if you do it at the bottom of the stairs you might just be able to fill the house with fumes and a black mist!

Nice work by the way, i want to buy a new case and start mine again now

:D
