Hi all
Anyone know if there is a minimum order price before you can get free postage for forum members. I have not had a problem before so am wondering if this is a new rule, any info

Is your forum account showing as linked? I've ordered items as low as £4 and got free delivery.
so have I in the past but not now...and yes my account is linked. I have spoke to sales rep on the phone who confirmed to me that there is a minimum cost before the free delivery kicks in and also spoke to the sales team on here who also confirmed this, I asked him to make it known to the public so everone is aware, He was not sure it had not all ready been notified some where but he said he would check up about it

just wanted to order something today and noticed im not getting the free forum delivery option any more. used to get free delivery even on 2 quid items but no longer working.
so now trying to buy a £4 item its offering £8.70 as cheapest delivery option. looks like im shopping elsewhere.

It would be good if they had a cheaper delivery option!

It use to be minimum spend £40, it's £20 now.
My last order - with free delivery - was under a fiver…

Whilst I can understand why perhaps they now have a minimum price, it’s rather annoying especially given a quick search online has just found me the cheap cpu cooler I’m after for a basic build for the same price OC/U.K. charge yet free shipping and supplied by a one man band outfit I’ve used before, he’s got nowhere near the profile never mind turnover / profit of here…. :/

Personally I don't see the issue with OCUK needing £20 min spend, it's basically the same as one of their main competitors who offer free delivery to hexus members. As to the £20 it's been there for around a year if not longer, it was mentioned when the website got updated last year.

In all honesty, from a personal stand point I wouldn't be expecting 'free' delivery for smaller deliveries and when I do make orders I try to make it 'fair' to OCUK, they don't have to offer us free delivery as a members bonus.

well thats you.................... the free postage is for loyalty as much as anything else. I have bought things under a tenor loads of times, in most cases where I could have driven to the nearest "hot food computershop" and bought it but instead i go here rather than spend money else where, I would sooner give OCUK my money, thats what loyalty means in my book. But now OCUK are just throwing money away by making the minimum charge £8.70 regardless of the cost of the item. the fact that we are now expected to pay a minimum of £8.70 postage for an item worth say £5 is not very good is it hence the remarks on here saying people are now going else where for things. Maybe a lower priced delivery option based on what you are buying would be better than an £8.70 price across the board. My order the other day was for some fan cables which was £2.99 then the delivery off £8.70 made it £11.69 which is ridiculas, that item could have been sent in a envelope for the price of 1st class stamp.

It is what it is, personally whenever i buy large quantities or expensive items i'll go with ocuk for the free next day dpd but smaller less expensive items i would look elsewhere unless im absolutely desperate or i can make up an order over £20.
