I'm planning on getting a new machine with a dual core duo 6300, 2 Gb ram and a dx10 GPU when they come out, and considering watercooling the CPU and GPU with a heatercore and 2 120mm fans. What kind of sized case would be the minimun to do this? Any chance I could do that in a Lian Li PC7+ on an Antec Super LANBOY?

Yup, people have done it to both the PC7 and the Super Lanboy. Sorry I don't have any pictures at hand, but if you search in the case section or watercooling gallery then you will find some.

This is a Lian Li PC7 with watercooling in! Lost two of the CD bays doing it like that. the PA rads are very thick so its pointless mounting them inside a small case unless you wanna lose a lot of drive bay space.

Hmm, well I was planning on having in the machine:

2 HDD, DVD writer, Gigabyte DS3 motherboard, ATI DX10 graphics card, and cooling-wise a bonville heater core with 2 120mm fans and a dangerden d5 pump.

Is there anywhere the heatercore could go? - I don't mind modding the side for it to go in if that's the only place it could go internally...

mmm this is the reason i havent put watercooling in as of yet when i do i want to have it looking right and working right
ive got half the stuff just need a new cpu block realy but never get round to it as i can never find a case that i like to suit my budget

resize the image matey,

yea you either lose PCI or CD BAY, i prefer CD bay ;).

also, its a black ice so its thinner than all others, A PA series rad would take out 3 pci slots on its own, nevermind the fans too

whats the cooling like with having the the rad at the bottom of the case ?cooling and cpu temps ? looks good i could poss do that

It's probably the optimal place to place it, as cold air will be closer to the floor(and dust :p ). Don't know what the cpu temp is, I have a DFI :D (under ambient) . But it's more than good enough, have had my x2 [email protected]+ and a [email protected] and all hefty overclocked. Doesn't give me any problems. :)
