My dad's old toshiba laptop has finally died so he's in the market for a new one. His usage is pretty typical really, lots of MS Office use, Email, Web browsing etc. The only game he plays is Civ IV and i'm pretty sure he'd enjoy Civ V (or whatever the latest one is) and since i know nothing about laptops i'd like to know whats the minimum he'd have to spend to get something suitable for the jobs listed above.

[Edit] I've found an HP Pavilion 15 on offer for £400. Has AMD Quad-Core A10-4655M APU 2 GHz, AMD Radeon HD 7620G/8670M Dual GPU, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM. Civ V should run fine on that, no?
Alternativele there's a no Lenovo for £370 with an Intel Core i3-4010U 1.7GHz, 4GB DDR3 RAM 1600MHz and N15V-GM DDR3 2G / 820M.
I have no clue what those two brands are like for build quality, warranty etc though.
