Hi,

I have bought an XTX Radeon 6770 as an upgrade for my current pc.

I installed it but there is no signal going to the monitor (previous post on this in graphics card forum suggests that the motherboard may be too old to run it).

I'm looking for a minimum (cheapest!) upgrade of motherboard and processor (if upgrade to processor is necessary) to allow me to run the Radeon 6770.

My spec is:

  • motherboard: MSI P31 Neo2-FR Intel P31 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 (MB-095-MS) ..... [ms-7392]
  • processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Socket 775 2.2GHz 800FSB
  • psu: ocz 500w

Thanks.

Paul

is the celeron better overall than my current e2200 - or will i be sacrificing anything (because it's a celeron).

edit: also - will my current cpu cooler still be ok?

cheers,

paul.
