Minimum Working Temperature

One of my colleagues is permanently cold, even when the rest of us are nearly melting in Summer (with beads of sweat on our foreheads,) she insists on having a radiator on under her desk. There is something wrong with her body, or she (self confessed) is just accustomed to much higher temps than normal. What temperature do you keep in your house/flat, if I may ask?
According to the thermostat (which I'm not sure if its accurate or not, but..) 24oC.

In '99 when myself and colleagues complained that the warehouse we worked in was too hot, we were firmly told "there is no limit." This was the health and safety regulators telling us this.

AT the end of the day theres plenty of things that can be done, a coat might look stupid, but a thermal vest can do wonders and can be completely unseen, moving desks out of the way , have a desk in a corner and have a cheapo partition thing put up as lots of offices have anyway.

But its worth going to the doctors, feeling cold and bad circulations can be symptoms of MANY different things, it could be something serious. It could be something as simple as a bad diet causing your metabolism to be incredibly low, burning fuel is what heats us. Something causing you to feel cold might be easily fixable or something you want or need to fix anyway.[/QUOTE]Trouble is I'm already wearing a thermal "under armour" shirt, a thick rugby shirt, a fleece jacket and my scarf, and all I can feel is the breeze from the ******* air conditioning.

TWENTY FOUR?!

No wonder you're flipping cold all the time.

erm... my room is 18c and im ok :confused:

my 'temp' knowledge says that 18 - 21c is ok temp
16c is wen u start feeling the cold (give or take)
24 would be 'starting' to get hot
30 = HOT!
40 = Dangerious HOT
50 = Dying or dead
60 = DEAD

^ same at our office. Heating in the summer, nothing in the winter.

we were told the system was 'designed' to work this way, believe them I do not.

and he is accustomed to 24degrees, so everyone else will be starting to get hot, whilst platypus is "normal"

If it is 24º, then that's actually pretty warm for room temperature (recommended room temperature is 21º if I'm not mistaken). I'm practically dying of heat exhaustion when our office reaches 24º.

Has the OP bothered to find out what the temperature is at their desk yet?

That's the key point. That will determine their best course of action. It will cost them a couple of quid and involve no effort. Have they done it yet?
