Minor error on OCUK site

The resolution on my work monitor is 1400x1050 and for the last few days the link to the forums has been missing completely. It started off being obscured (as in OP) but now it's just disappeared.

I just type the address in manually now.

From a naive user point of view; it couldn't be any other reason - surely????

( :D )

Software used might not be compatiable or certified for Windows 7, the security/administration used might not be configured for 7 (software rollout/allocation, AV, policies, OS updates etc..)

I work in many schools who use RM systems and only within the last year or two has the shift to 7 started with the CC4 system, i'd say the majority might still be on XP.

They use a lot of custom software. Maybe some of it wont run on windows 7.

I know. I was worried that the ( :D ) and excess use of question marks might not properly convey my sarcasm. I'll put up a sign next time :D

I use a 1280x1024 CRT, and in chrome (not even maximised) I can see the forum link (although half of it goes off the side of the page unless I scroll right), and it's not obscured by the software tab. I do agree about it being a design issue. In my opinion a decent website should work perfectly fine on virtually all screen sizes without having left-right scrolling.

Seriously, do OCUK not check these things? I'm at work, using a 1280x1024 monitor and on the front page of the OCUK site the "forums" link is obscured by the "software" tab.

Schoolboy error of design. Not everyone is using the same resolution you are.

Content, not design.

Works fine when I resize here.

What browser and version are you using?

1280x1024 is the resolution I always design for.

Previous employer gave everyone 2x 1280x1024 screens, but my current employer gives us the laptop (mine is a **** 1280x800 one ) plus 1x 1920x1080 screen.
