Hey guys,

I finished my first build a few weeks ago and since then there has been a couple of problems which i need some advice on.

On occassional restarts, the BIOS will change the boot drive prioty and i have to manually change it back to my SSD which has my operating system on it. Do i need to rewire the Sata cables so its at the lowest number? and also why does it need to be manually changed a lot of the time?

My second question is from time to time it comes up that i've installed a new cpu on restarts but i can just press f2 to load defaults but does anyone know why this is doing this? (this did not happen until after 2 weeks of use.)

Other then that its been running like a dreammmm never played PC games with such performance.

Thanks

Mehmet

just had another problem which was resolved thankfully, pc wouldnt show up a display so had to take out graphics card and re-insert it... sigh.. anyone any idea about the other problems at all? (i know there not very threatening just a bit annoying lol)

Thanks

Mehmet

The drive one seems solvable, the mobo seems to fancy a particular sata port on your mobo, move your ssd to that sata port and hopefully it will stop happening, hopefully.

Are you on the boards latest BIOS? When it changes the boot order does it also reset your time/date? If so could be a borked CMOS battery.

It could be a duff motherboard, but have you fitted the CPU fan too tight to motherboard? Or is the system well ventillated..?

I have found that if I reset the cpu cooler sometimes it makes the motherboard forget the CPU, depends if its too tight...

I would also suggest a bios update, but be very very careful...try and do the bios update in bios using a usb drive, safer then doing it in Windows the crap software that motherboard manu's supply.
