Hello,
When I first bought my pc I did it on the cheap, and so bought parts that could "manage" but no excel at there jobs. I have a GIGABYTE990XA-UD3 with a AMD 8350 in a corsair 200r, this is currently cooled by a Deepcool GAMMAXX S40 CPU-Cooler - 120mm.
I am looking at replacing this heatsink along with the case fans, I have a budget of upto £70 for the heatsink (Noctua NH-D14?) £30 for fans. The aim is achieve a good stable overclock.
Not sure whether water/air is best, noise isn't a major issue however I wouldn't want something sounding like a leaf blower! Any recommendations welcome.
