Hi guys I have about £140 to spend on some bits n bobs for my setup I was wondering where best to spend this money.

A64 3000+ s939 (Winchester) @2.4Ghz
1Gb Geil PC3200 Dual Channel Kit
DFI SLI-DR 939 Board
Geforce 6600GT @ (550/1180)
Enermax Noisetaker 600W PSU
Pioneer DVR 110 DVD-RW
Maxtor IDE 120Gb hdd
Seagate IDE 17.2Gb hdd (10Gb free overall)
Generic Windowed Case
Generic 8ms TFT monitor
Saitek Gamers Keyboard
MS Wireless Optical Mouse

My ideas have been a combination of :-

Seagate 7200.10 320gb hdd (Considering purchasing 2 of these)
Logitech G15 Keyboard (Saitek backlight = crap)
Razer CopperHead Tempest Blue 2000DPI Gaming Mouse

I know i'd prob be best off saving and going LGA775 Conroe but I wont be getting any more money for quite some time.

Cheers

Depends on what u need. From the looks of it you are a gamer, and £140 would get a reasonable upgrade in graphics card. If u need the space then the hdd u chose is decent, but what u going to do with 640gb of space.

Well essentially I only need the 1 HDD but once thats purchased im unsure what to spend the rest of the money on.

I can get the hdd for £70 delivered which would leave £70 for another product this is where i get stuck as i'd love a new gfx card but I dont see me getting anything decent for that sorta money, hence why im contemplating the G15 keyboard as a replacement for my disappointing Saitek. Or the Razer mouse for my rather dated ms wireless optical one. Other than that are there any decent cases for £70?

Ta for the agreement on hdd selection. :)

What do you use your PC for mainly?

Might help to decide really, although you could get another stick of ram for the other £70?

Main usage :- gaming (latest game played - oblivion) @ 1280x1024 but also activities which require a fair bit of hdd space.

*edit* Current ram = Geil 1Gb(2x512Mb) PC3200 Dual Channel Kit, would I have to buy 1x1Gb stick and put the 2x512Mb into the same channel to continue running dual channel e.g Channel 1 = 1xGb / Channel 2 = 2x512Mb using 3 outta the 4 ram slots.

IIRC u can buy the same RAM and it'll be fine; im not sure about that though.

If your into gaming..Sell the 6600GT and buy a X1800XT and a new HDD.

Cheers looks like the Seagate HDD & X1800XT will be purchased after selling my 6600GT, one more thing is there much difference between the 256Mb and 512Mb versions of the X1800XT enough to warrant a £100 difference?

Not sure, but the X1800XT 256mb thats around £150 (should be top on the list) is the best sub £180 or so i think.
