Hi I was going to do a new build on my pc but I dont think the wallet can handle that just yet!, basicaly games are not running to well no more (lag, long loading times etc.) and I want the computer to perform better.

Anyway, I currently have:
-ASRock 775TWins-HDTV motherboard
-1GB DDR RAM 400MHz
-512MB DDR RAM 400MHz
-Intel P4 2.8GHz Dual Core, oc to 2.99GHz
-ASUS Nvidia EN7600GS 512MB PCI Express Graphics card
-500GB SATA
-80GB IDE
-DVD/RW SATA
-500W PSU
-Windows XP Professional

And i'm thinking of getting 2x1 Gb RAM DDR2 667MHz Corsair. Does anybody reckon this is worth while, i.e will it make any improvents due to it having higher clock speeds etc.?

Any ideas will be much appreciated :)

I'd say it's not worth the money. The processor and graphics card is just to slow, more ram is nice but still everything will be very slow. I'd save up and get a E2180 / P35 mobo / 2GB PC6400 C4 / 8800GT or 9600GT. It's just not gonna work out with so much slow stuff if you ask me.

If you really don't wanna wait to save up then get a new graphics card indeed, 8800GT will do nicely and put 512mb/1gb more ram in it aswell. But I think the P4 is gonna hold the graphics card back a bit :)
