mint 10 debian problems

ok, overall im happy with it. but today i started experiencing issues where i install something but i cannot find anyway to run it

. i type it in the search and it comes up with 'intall....' but when i click on it it says its already installed. any ideas?

Dunno, normally when you install something it will go in the menus somewhere; unless it's something that isn't meant to be run at the desktop level. Can you give me an example? I'm on Debian so our systems should be similar enough to troubleshoot this.

cinelerra was the main one. sorted it by installing the second one on the list in the software centre. must have been something with the main one or something.

have had this problem before. just restarted puta and it was on the menu.
