Yesterday all was fine, no setting changes or anything & today I get up to get a blank screen when Mint 11 boots up. I saw on a forum to fsck /dev/sdX & fix it, but someone said only have root mounted as read, how do I do that? After a bit, when I hit the space bar a few times, it said root file system check failed.

Try running fsck from a livecd.

Need to make 1 first, not sure what happend all I did was surf the web on it yesterday. Is there a way I can fix it from win7 x64? Will live Gparted fix it? Cool, it appears to be fixed, I went to recovery mode in grub2 & it looks to be fixed now. :)
