Mintex OEM are they any good?

Just replacing the front discs and pads on the Alfa 156 V6 before its MOT.

I recently did the rear and confess I went cheap with Eicher pads and discs. They have been fine and the car isn't worth anything so I don't want to spend silly money.

The fronts had grooved and dimpled discs but they are wearing at a silly rate. I have been offered new Mintex OEM discs and pads for £50. I remember Mintex having a good reputation in the past.

I think it is a good price, should I expect any horror scenarios with them?

Brilliant they are in fact cheaper than the unbranded auto factor stuff round here.

I just got a bit concerned you get what you pay for scenario.

Ive got some mintex discs and they do rust up pretty quickly.

I can vouch for the pads. Changed all 4 corners from cheapo unbranded to mintex and braking is much improved.

Used to use them on my allaggro. Were WAY better than Ferodo but I didn't half go through them

I usually get Pagid discs and pads from ECP - Pagid stuff is very good.

I tried Mintex pads on the E60 and they didn't take at all. In the end, I pretty much swapped them for OEM pads and the brakes were back to normal. Maybe just a bad batch, but I wouldnt risk it again.
