About a week ago the left earphone of my Shure e4c earphones stopped working. I've been meaning to call and get them replaced, but haven't got around to it. Today I turned on my mp3 player just to see if I had a playlist loaded on it or not and, whilst I was checking it I played a file and suddenly noticed...

...it was coming out of both earphones. :D

So, what hardware have you almost consigned to the bin before suddenly it starts working again?

My ipod. Got it covered in chocolate milkshake, dropped it and when i got it home it felt like the battery had short circuited. The unit was scorching hot, so pulled the cover off and disconnected the ribbon cable. Tried to clean it up the best i could before making a descision that it was too badly soaked, so washed it under the tap :D. Dried it out for 4 days on a radiator before reconnecting it. Took 10 minutes to start up with painful clicking of the hard drive. Thought it was borked, but it did eventually work, and has been flawless every since! Those things are Tough as a geordie in winter!

A while ago I was all set to rma an old motherboard (Forgot the model but it was a 939 board) it just wouldn't post at all or make any beeps.

Then an hour later it just started working and was fine since, I sold it on and it still works! (now my aunts PC)

Think this was around Dec 2006!
