i have just installed mirc and when i tried to use it my kaspersky internet security pops up warning it is riskware, if i click 'skip' it keeps popping up a warning.

is there a way to allow mirc to work without any interference from kaspersky ie exclude it in any way.

thanks all

Not used Kaspersky myself however it should have an allowed applications list somewhere in it's settings.

the problem seems to be the anti virus software throwing up a warning saying it is riskware, its not like firewall blocking it from connecting to the internet.

its possably the programe doing something naughty. I have a similar issue with the Latest Doomsday (game exe) where kaspersky says Riskware:Rootshell everytime the app is run because the programe executes it self by calling c:\cmd.exe .

You should be able to click the warning for more specific info on why it thinks mirc is riskware.

Removing those type of warnings all together is somewhere in the app monitoring section.
