What are the Mircolab SOLO1C or 6C like over the Edifier R1600 or R1900? It's just the MicreoLab's have a remote, which is good for me as i'm in a wheelchair and cann't reach the speakers.
Or can you set the Edifier R1600/R1900 up and forget about them?
I will use a remote plug to turn whichever speakers i buy, off.

i have never heard the others but my r1600s are great!!! the quality is amazing i would say set the volume to half and the bass/ treble to 1/3 then leave them and adjust the volume in windows :)

You won't be unhappy with either the Microlabs or 1600s, the Microlabs are a bit brighter sounding than the edifiers which some people prefer, the edifiers are flat response speakers which while the more accurate sound reproduction some people find sounds a bit drab. I've not tried the 1900s to give an opinion there.

EDIT: You can definitely set the 1600s up and then forget about them adjusting volume through Windows if needed, once setup to taste you will rarely if ever need to change the controls on the edifiers.

I set the volume on my 1600s when I got them and haven't needed to touch them since, all volume adjustment is done via my sound card control panel. Seems we are in a sale week again too, so the Edifier 1600Ts are only £50 again :D
