as above.

i have some microwave popcorn in a bag, but alas no microwave.
i presume that if i put the contents of the bag in a pan with a lid, i will just end up with a badly burnt pan.

anyone with any experience? :p

AFAIK Microwave Popcorn that doesn't need microwaving is just Popcorn.

Hope that helps.

Its only microwavable due to the packaging. Get it out the bag and cook it how you want. :D

Edit: Oh I see, you're asking HOW to go about that, no idea.

Small amount of oil covering the base of a pan, medium to high heat. Put one or two corns in. When they pop its hot enough. Put the rest in. Put on lid. Keep shaking the pan. They will start to pop. Eventually the poping will lessen off. Once that happens remove from heat transfer to bowl, etc, for the addition of butter/salt and eat.

Sorry but I'm a bit curious, how did you end up with microwavable popcorn with no microwave? The microwave seems like an obvious pre-requisite for buying the popcorn in that form.

Woolworths were doing microwaves for 25 quid. They might be even cheaper now they're having their sales.

Go and buy one tomorrow.

Failing that Tesco Value do one for 25 quid as well.
